Dr. Renée Van Veld, Lower Extremity Clinical & Education Specialist, SRT Prosthetics & Orthotics
Dr. Van Veld has 25 years of experience as a physical therapist treating patients with lower extremity amputations. As the Lower Extremity Clinical & Education Specialist for SRT Prosthetics & Orthotics, she utilizes her experience as an educator to instruct practicing clinicians in best practice management of patients with limb loss, as well as teaching DPT students about this patient population at five universities. She also uses her background in clinical education as the National Residency Director for the Össur patient care clinical group.

While continuing direct patient care at a Trauma I hospital for 20 years, she taught full-time in the DPT program at the University of Indianapolis for 14 years of those years, managing all aspects of the clinical education program and teaching content related to patients with amputations and/or wounds. In addition, she has experience in producing peer-reviewed presentations on the regional and national level, as well as peer-reviewed research publications.
