Sarra Mullen is the Head of U.S. Operations for Aether Biomedical and has worked in the prosthetics industry since 2004. Sarra completed her studies in prosthetics at Northwestern University in 2006 and her residency at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. Sarra stayed on as a Certified and Licensed Prosthetist (CP) at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab for 15 years specializing in upper limb prosthetics, hemipelvectomy, and multi-limb cases. In 2015 Sarra moved into research at the Center for Bionic Medicine, where she was the project manager for the groundbreaking bionic-powered leg system with a novel EMG control device.
In 2017 Sarra moved into the administrative side of healthcare at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and led a team of multi-disciplinary clinicians who spearheaded operational and outcomes initiatives for all publicly reported inpatient data for the organization, which led to substantial enhancement in patient outcome metrics, ensuring successful financial and growth targets.
As her career continued to evolve Sarra moved to RUSH University Medical Center where she managed a team of data analysts and led product strategy for the development of a new cancer center.
Today, as Head of U.S. Operations at Aether Biomedical, Sarra is a member of the global leadership team, orchestrating strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and go-to-market strategies for the startup’s revolutionary health technology products.
