Kimberly Hoyt graduated from the UCLA Prosthetics Education Program in 1988. After practicing in the Los Angeles area for 8 years, Kim and her husband (also a C.P.) moved to Denver, Colorado in 1996 to establish BioDesign. In 2019, in collaboration with a team at the University of Colorado Hospital, they expanded their practice to initiate one of the only civilian osseointegration programs in the country and have now provided transcutaneous osseointegration prosthetic care to over 70 patients. After 35 years as a clinical practitioner and the sale of BioDesign in April 2022, Kimberly’s focus at this time is to continue to develop bone-anchored prosthetic care and policy at the national level.
