Jared did his undergraduate work in Engineering at Brigham Young University, his Prosthetic and Orthotic Graduate Training at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, and his subsequent graduate work in product design and development at Northwestern University’s, McCormick School of Engineering. He currently serves as the Center Director in the Center for Prosthetic and Orthotic Care and Innovation within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine. Starting in 2012, he developed, cp=founded and led Baylor College of Medicine’s highly acclaimed Orthotics and Prosthetics Graduate Program. He pushes the envelope with the use of technology in the classroom and clinic and was one of the first in the country to leverage mobile technology to create the paperless education experience in health science education. He has constantly refined that experience to better equip his students and patients and with the skills they need to be successful in the current environment.
He has delivered multiple talks and workshops nationally and internationally including for AAMC, ACGME, AAOP, AOPA, and served as the President for the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists in 2020-2021.
