John Brinkmann, MA, CPO/L, FAAOP(D) is an Associate Professor at NUPOC, and has more than 30 years of experience in P&O clinical care and education. Over the past decade he has taught prosthetics and orthotics practicum courses and multiple online and blended learning courses at NUPOC. He completed Northwestern’s Searle Fellows program in 2014 and earned the Feinberg School of Medicine’s Medical Educator Certificate in 2020. He was awarded the Best Teachers of Feinberg Award in 2016 and the AAOP’s Outstanding Educator award in 2021. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. In addition to being a former Director of the AAOP, President of the Midwest Chapter, and Chair of the Gait Society, he is the founding and current Chair of the Academy's Behavioral Science Society.
