Kyle Stepp is a community leader, partnerships professional, Para-Athlete, and activist for equitable healthcare, outdoor access, disability rights and LGBTQIA+ rights. After growing up in boys' homes, surviving stage four cancer at 14, and overcoming the challenges of becoming an amputee after losing his left leg after a downhill mountain bike accident, Kyle has made it his personal mission to help others facing similar hardships.
Over the past year, Kyle led the So Every BODY Can Move New Mexico initiative. This landmark legislation was signed into law in early April and will take effect in January 2024. It currently serves as the model legislation for several other states as it is the most comprehensive insurance fairness bill signed into law, across the country, to date.
